We have a Frigidaire model # GLTR1670AS0 front load washing machine that does not fill on the first cycle (the wash cycle) on any of the settings. If I bypass that cycle by manually advancing the dial, it fills and runs normally through the remainder of the cycle. Is this likely a defective timer control or is there a fill solenoid that could be bad? Or something else I should look at? I haven't taken anything apart yet....not really sure where to start.

Here are your parts Parts for Frigidaire GLTR1670AS0 Washer - AppliancePartsPros.comHere is the tech sheet http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...df/Webster/134052900.pdfIs this likely a defective timer control Could be or is there a fill solenoid that could be bad? Depends on the cycle you are using. If it does this on a cold/cold cycle then the valve is OK. it it does this on a hot/cold cycle then it could be that the hot side of the valve is bad. Or something else I should look at? Could also be the temperature switch. Odds are that it is the timer but this is just a guess. To confirm this you would have to use a meter and check the timer and temperature switch contacts using the timing charts in the tech sheet to see if they are closing when they should. |
