ok so i have a whirlpool top load dryer that wont drain the water and stops before it gets to the rinse or the spin cycle. this all started when i put a couple of really heavy blankets in it. i think it may be the belt but am unable to get the back off to look for some reason. i was able to drain the water tho. the model # is LSR5132JQ1. I would appreciate any help yall can provide. Thank you.

This is a direct drive model, no belts. You don't take the back off, you would remove the cabinet to gain access or tilt the machine back. After agitation stops and it should start draining, does the motor run or hum or is it all quiet? If all quiet, sounds like a bad lid switch. If motor hums but won't drain, probably something jamming the water pump.
