I replaced the large belt. I moved the pump all the way to the right and the trans would still not spin

When the unit is supposed to be spinning, does the transmission turn easily by hand and will it come up to speed if you help it?

It will start spinning when I help it. It seems like there is resistance when you hand spin it.

I would replace the pump belt and see if it makes any difference since you have replaced the brake already. If the center stem kit was binding, it would not spin really much at all, even if once started by hand. The motor pulley may come into the equation, too, but I would start with replacing the pump belt. The belt set available below. Whirlpool 12112425 Pump and Drive Belts - AppliancePartsPros.com
