Have washer with bad clutch. Everything is apart but the shaft on the tranmission will not pull out of the washer so I can change the clutch.
I need help.

Still need the model number. If it has the fabric softener dispenser, did you remove the clip and washer from the agitator shaft? Thoroughly clean the exposed part of the agitator shaft?

ps When I pull it out 2 or 3 in its a hard solid hit not just stuck.

Probably rust or gunk buildup on the agitator shaft. You will have to use brute force. A helper with heavy hammer and large drift pin banging down on top of agitator shaft while you pull on the gearcase.

Thanks alot it worked. Now I have a clicking noise when it first starts spining and then it goes away. It only does it at first when it starts at a slow speed and as it buildes up speed no problem
