My gas dryer glows for 10 -15 seconds then it clicks and does not ignite.
It tries again in another minute. I can smell gas so I turn it off.
I replaced the coils and it does the same thing. Could it be the gas valve and I could I check the valve. There is no lint build up any where.
Thanks

I would check the thermal fuse first.

I checked the thermal fuse. What would be the next step? Could the gas valve bot be opening properly?

even though the ignitor checks good, it can still be bad. i have found that ignitors will read good until they begin to draw amperage. an ignitor can have a small crack in it and still glow. the ignitor must draw at least three amps to activate the coils to open the gas valve. one of the coils is a holding coil. did you replace both coils?

Yes I replaced both coils. I am going to replace the ignitor. I was told that when they get into the 90 ohm reading to replace. I can smell gas so I don't think it's the valve. Thank you Scott5495 appreciate the reply it reinforces decision.
