Have you done any troubleshooting? If you have, how did you do it?
Gene. Hi Gene. Model GD5PHAXMS10. Last year the icemaker stopped making ice. Troubleshooting so far; replaced water inlet valve based on chat with applicance staff. Water dispenses for water feature but does not fill icemaker. Swapped cables; water did not fill icemaker. Based on mapilla's post; verified optics work. I pulled icemake to test cable but 'operator error' (don't know what I'm doing becz nothing happend). Re-installed icemaker filled it with water; ice cubes froze but did not cycle cubes into container. I believe I have tried most troubleshooting; last thing is to figure out how to clean out icemaker line. Any thoughts on how proceed would be greatly appreciate. ty Kat

Gene, based on the directions you provided, nothing happened when I applied jumpers to T and H. However, when I inserted them to L and M, a small spark snapped in the M hole..maybe the end of the cable was wet?
Next I went to the LED codes. There are two constant pulses. Since the optic path was not blocked, should I conclude that I need to replace both boards?
What do you recommend I replace? ty again Kat

Hi Kat, I'm afraid that you have to replace the optic boards as well as the ice maker. - The optic boards kit Part number: 4389102

When my mom comes over she takes ice from my house to hers and drops it in the bucket :) I told her she can still can over. While it's not the answer I was looking for :( I appreciate your time and guidance sorting this out. Gene:
I have a KitchenAid Superba refregirator made in 2002. The problems is that no water going into the ice maker tray. I have replaced the the optics board, so the optics is working fine. In stead of switching the plugs from the valve that puts water to the door (it is a little tough for me to reach the valve), I manually put water into the ice maker tray. It makes ice, but the ice won't go to the ice basket. What can I do to further diagnose the source of the problem?
