The GE Profile washer is 18 months old. The machine timer cycled to spin but did not. I found the technician sheet inside the back panel. Was able to use the control panel (press start and whites button simultaneously) to identify the spin cycle as the problem, then over-rode the timer and it worked fine. But it will not cycle through on regular cycle or quick spin cycle on its own. Any thoughts as to what needs replacing?

Most likely the problem is a bad control board. You should run the troubleshooting as described in the tech sheet.

The control board was OK. It turned out the washer level valve air hose was clogged with "biologicals". A little cleaning followed by a bleach bath did the trick and everything is running fine now. Thank you anyway. Dogwood

Can you give me the codes indicating problems? E4 is blinking and 05 does not respond at all. I hate to tear the machine apart just to get this information. :(
