-OK, No voltage through element while set to heat.
-continuity good for operating thermo and hi-limit thermo
-What I THINK is the thermal cutoff(connected to a red and red-white striped wire isolated in the middle of the back of the dryer), and I think the schematic indicates it as that as well, has no continuity. Is that the right part, or should I proceed to the panel wiring?

Will do. I'm assuming it would be pretty stupid to bypass the cut-off in the meantime?

HI.

Only to test the dryer. Also, check the venting for any restrictions.

Simon.

Works fine when bypassed. Venting is unobstructed. Will post results in the next couple of days.

I purchased and installed the thermal cut-off/thermostat kit and now it works like new! Can't thank you enough, man. I was gonna replace the damn thing.
