My dishwasher recently stopped cleaning dishes properly. The diswasher does run and gets plenty wet inside - the problem is, the water inside never gets hot (I've opened the door in the middle of a cycle, and the water is luke warm) and at the end of the dishwashing cycle, the drying cycle does not work. (I've reached inside and the tubular heating element is cold) and my dishes are sort-of clean and wet. (Someone toldme the heating element is probably the problem - if so, how hard is the heating element to R and R??? - they told me I could pull on it and it would 'pop out'. I gave it a pretty strong tug and it still seems firmly attached to the plastic housing. Could the Heating element be secured from under the plastic housing? Any help would be appreciated. Hi. Don't force anything, Bob.Unplug the unit. Open the toe panel and you 'll get the access to the heater and other parts. First using the multimeter check the continuity of the thermal fuse and the heater. When doing that remove one of the wires off the part you are checking. That's how the fuse look like Part number: 3368928
