Tony, your dryer model is LNC7764A71, not LCN. Direct link to breakdown diagrams and parts for Model LNC7764A71.

Check the thermal fuse for continuity (unplug the dryer power cord first!). This is an electric dryer, so it needs 220 volts to operate. You would only have 110 volts at the timer or at the door switch. There are two dryer circuit breakers inside the house subpanel. They're side by side and are hopefully marked as "dryer". One of them might be tripped. Reset both breakers. If you know how to use a voltmeter, make sure there is 220 volts at the dryer wall socket.

- Wiring diagram for LNC7764A71

Thermal fuse now comes as a kit which includes the hi-limit thermostat. Replace the fuse (as well as the hi-limit thermostat) if it shows no continuity.

- Thermostat/Thermal fuse kit (instructions included)

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info about my dryer i did find the thermal fuse link to be bad meaning no continuity it took about 30 minutes to get the dryer apart to find it because there was no detail drawing on its location but it was mounted to the heater element box that is behind the drum. So the part is on order and we should be up and running soon. Thanks again:)

Sweet thanks for this thread. I knew the fuse was bad on my dryer cause i read the print that was taped up behind the control panel and thats the only thing I could see that could be wrong. but until I found this page I had no idea where the fuse was lol. Good thing I now feel stupid nowing its right in plain view and easily accessable lol. either way your site seems to be the cheapest for this so I just ordered one :D. Sorry for bringing back a 2 yr old thread but I was excited to find something about my 8 yr old dryer.
