This is a followup to my first question. When I say that my original part#240383703 has 3 terminals, I mean that it has 3 power terminals plus a ground. The part#240383703 that I ordered only has 2 power terminals and one ground. Thank you in advance. Sincerely, Herman L. Powell

My problem is I have three power wires and a ground. The part#240383703 that I ordered has only 2 terminals for the power wires and a ground terminal. What am I supposed to do with the extra wire. My Fridgedaire refrigerator Model# FRS23KF6CBO calls for this part#. My refrigerator was manufactured in May 2003. Is there a thermostat that has 3 terminals and a ground that will work on this refrigerator? Thank you. Sincerely, Herman L. Powell

I put that part in web site applianceaid and noticed from the picture that there are 3 terminals, one bigger than the other two. Do your fridg wires have one spade terminal bigger than the other two. If so, it looks like the one I saw is correct and the one they shipped is not correct. One of the terminals might be for an internal biase heater, that's why it's expensive.

We all agree that the picture shows that it has three terminals, but when you receive the actual part, it only has two.

I ordered it twice and got the same part twice. I will agree that the picture shows it to have 3 terminals, but when you order it and receive it, it only has two.

They probably re-designed the part to work without the heater, yet still charged a high price. I am sure many people just used the two wires and the fridg worked fine. Just tape off the left over wire, fridg should work fine. They should have shipped the control with instructions similar to that.
