The washer fills it will also spin but when the agitator trys to engage it just makes a hum noise.

does the washer leak at all? I'm guessing either you have a bad belt or the stem kit (bearing is locked up? usually it will leak and be oily on the floor of the washer

no leaks just a buzz when the agitator should start

have you had the front of the washer off yet? heres a new thought the motor sits on the left corner on glides... are those glides sticky? try pulling back in the motor.. see if it engages

the motor glides ok, I have to check if it drains the water.
