I have an ice maker that is bad in my side by side and have found the new one online (AP3160597). What I would like to know is that the new ice maker comes with a cord and it looks like an adapter extension separate along with it. The old one doesn't have a cord. Does the adapter cord make the cord male or female?

If the old one does not have a cord how does it get power?

you posted, is the OEM replacement part made by Frigidaire for this refrigerator. It has everything you need and it comes with the installation instructions.
