Since I am man of the house and financially challenged, I have to fix it myself, so any help is greatly appreciated. My Kenmore 90 series washer model# 110.20901 990 won't agitate or spin, it fills up with water and drains (although not completely) maybe that's because it won't spin...anyway I would love any thoughts on what is wrong, what part I need to replace and maybe a how to video...Thanks!!!

If the motor is running but the washer won't agitate and spin then the problem most likely is a bad motor drive coupling. It is easy to replace and the video bellow will guide you through the whole process.

- The motor drive coupling Part number: AP3963893
Part number: AP3963893

Gene, I also have a 90 series, when agitating is the arm supposed to be turning as well? When watching it, it looks as though its just shaking the clothes in place rather than moving them in a circular motion as I thought it used to do? Am I correct in thinking this or no? Thanks for your help...

The top portion of the agitator should move force and back to stir the clothes. If it's just shaking then the agitator needs repair.

If you need more information, post the complete model number of the washer.

You have to order the agitator repair kit to fix it. The AppliancePartsPros video will explain in details how to do it.

Kenmore won't wash or spin. It will fill with water and when it hit wash it makes a loud humming noise. Same for spin cycle. Any ideas?

Thank you for any help.
