I recently replaced the detergent assembly and in doing so ripped the front panel electrical source off when the door fell apart. Do I have to buy a whole new front panel or can I just replace the electrical source that ripped off the mother board?

Here is a parts breakdown Model SearchCould you please explain it a little better. There are a number of plugs going to the control board. Which one ripped off? Is the plug damaged? Is the control board damaged? |

part 901 for this model the strip of tape on the back of this part ripped in half. It is electrical and attaches to motherboard. I can't explain it much better because I don't know the exact part name.

Just to confirm what ripped in half. It is the cable that is sticking out on the right hand side of the Part 901 diagram. It is a ribbon cable. To get it you have to buy the complete part 901 (Keypad) It is hard wired to the keypad. If you have a friend who is into electronics they may be able to fix it. Taking it to a shop would probably cost you as much as a new keypad. |

Thank you thats what I needed to know. Will I be able to attach the other end of the ribbon cable from the keypad to the other part or do I just need to go ahead and call a repairman?

Take a look at the parts breakdown Section1. #901 Keypad's ribbon cable plugs into #905 Module Control. Click on the pictures for a better view and you can clearly see where it plugs in.
Whether to get a tech or not depends upon your comfort level. I definitely would do it but I have always enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together (most of the time).
You got it apart you should be able to get it back together, just take your time |
