I have an old Whirlpool oven model sf365bep. I noticed the other day the oven was not getting hot, but the broiler and the burners worked. Then yeaterday the oven does not light at all, the broiler wil light but goes out after a few minutes.

Hello MJM0927. It seems like your Part number: ap4273180
is going bad. I would also check the Part number: ap2934763
to make sure its heating up properly so that it will ignite the gas. You should be able to visually do this Thank You and Good Luck !

Just to add my 2 cents... If the Bake igniter does glow but the gas does not flow through the burner, then most likely the problem is a bad (weak) igniter. The following article on our forum will explain in detail How Oven Igniter Works. If you would like to check the igniter before you'll order a new one, you can do it by measuring the current drawn by the igniter. If the reading is 3.2 amps or less - the igniter has to be replaced. New igniter comes without mounting bracket, so you have to use the old bracket. If the Bake igniter does not glow while the control calls for Bake, then more tests have to be done. Post the results and we will guide you further. Gene. P.S. The model number you posted is incomplete. In case if further assistance needed, verify and repost the model number.
