I've got a GE side by side fridge/freezer in my garage. The fridge works fine (all year long) but the freezer seems to work only during the summer months. Garage stays warm in the summer and the unit runs a lot, keeping food frozen. But in the winter, it gets around 40-55F in the garage and the unit runs less, and won't keep food frozen, even on the coldest setting. Is this a thermostat problem? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

No modern refrigetator will work properly at 40 degrees, unless you replace the cold control with a constant differential control.
