one of the burners does not heat. I remove the element and plugged it into another socket and the element heats up fine. wondering if this could be the infinite switch and if this is something a novice could change.

it could be switch or block that burner pushes into. are the tips of burner burned or is it damaged looking if it is replace burner with block.it still may be a switch problem
