Gene, thanks for the response - so the fan would come on in the diagnostic mode even if it is bad? I'll go ahead and replace it and see what happens.

Gene. Hi Gene, I ordered the fan motor you suggested, it was identical to the one I had except the part # above had the built in thermistor (yes, I know I should have checked before ordering). I went ahead and installed it anyway. It seems to have fixed the problem as the evaporator fan is now working. Will the fact that I now have a thermistor attached to my fan motor that I didn't have before cause any problems? Thanks!

Fridgidaire FRS24WRC Side by Side
Condensor seems to run all the time. No frost in Freezer, Some airlow in upper frig vent but no air flow in lower chilled meats drawer. Coils are clean and I can see any blockage on te lower drawer vent. Sound like the same problem?

imref,
I'm afraid I did not get it clear. What did you do with the thermistor which came with the motor?
Gene.

If there is no snow then there is a problem with the sealed system. It could be low on Freon. Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire refrigerator Model FRS24WRCD0Gene.

Hi gene, it was hard-wired into the fan motor plug, so I just left it alone. I didn't cut it off. Do I need to worry about it at all? The fridge has worked great for several days now.

Freezer coils are frosty, I was talking about the coils underneath.

Did you see another thermistor on top of the evaporator coil? If you did, how it was connected?
Gene.

Gene. I didn't, but to be honest I didn't look all that hard for one.
