I moved into a house that has two units CT130 lectiric oens. One works fine but eh other will not heat up properly. NO error code comes up but it wont get hot. It begins to warm up and a fan comes on. If I try to increase the set temp sometimes it just shuts down. I have done a reset at the breaker to no avail. ANy ideas?

After playing with it a buit longer, I got the E6 error code which I think means the selector switch is bad. Does this sound correct before I try ordering the part?

I have had the same oven since new in 1993 and this symptom has occurred several times. Each time I replace the switch and it works for a year or so. After setting the temperature, the "heat" light will not come on. If I kick the panel adjacent to the switch very hard, the light will come on and the oven will heat. However I have injured my knee kicking the oven so have just ordered another switch assembly for the 4th time. The small phosphor-bronze fingers in the rear wafer of the switch assembly appear to lose their tension and make erratic contact with the circuit board, prompting the "Error E6" code. I have tried to repair the board by cleaning and re-tensioning the fingers, but with limited success. Good luck! --sam bledsoe
