I have a ge washer #wwse5240g0ww that won't agitate or spin. It fills and drains fine. The timer advances through all cycles. I have looked for a flashing led on the motor control board and saw nothing. The lid switch appears okay, but since the wires are encased in plastic I am unsure of how to check for continuity. When it comes time for the washer to agitate or spin the motor does move at all. What could be causing the problem and how can I check it out?

If the motor doesn't do anything during agitate or spin then your motor is probably out. Part #AP4355669
