We have a GE WWSE5240G1WW washing machine, approx 4 yrs old (?) with low usage. It was operating correctly until we moved this weekend. Did not drop or bump the machine during the move (did tilt it on a dolly), but when we reinstalled it, it no longer worked. Fill cycle works – “fill” light comes on and tank is filled When full, the machine cycles to the "wash" cycle and the "wash" light comes on, but nothing happens, (motor does not come on -no humming, nothing). After several minutes, still in the “wash” cycle, the water is pumped out, but the pump does not turn off when the tank is empty. We didn’t let the pump run over a minute for fear of burning it out. So…we cannot get to the rinse or spin cycles. We also tried the “quick rinse” and “drain and spin” settings. In both cases the tank pumps out, but the pump does not turn off when the tank is empty, so neither options get to the spin cycle. With the machine off/unplugged, the motor can be hand spun in either direction. Belt is in excellent condition. There are no restrictions in the tub. Seems like the control panel may be working, but either it’s not sending power to the motor, or the motor’s out? Don’t understand the pump not cutting off when the tub’s empty. Help !!!! Thanks.

You have an inverter on the motor with error codes displayed by a flashing light, the number of flashes is the error code. Here is how to interpret them. First do that reset thing, a lot of times that fixes things. HydroWave GE Washer Repair Guide
