Roper RAL5144ALO washer won't spin. Water pumps out. Agitator turns slowly during spin cycle, can stop it with my hand.

The agitator turns or the tub is turning slowly?

Agitator barely turns. Tub stays still.

Is it turning in the same direction or actually agitating back & forth?

Turns clockwise. Very weak. Ratcheting motion. No discernable counter clockwise motion.

Pull the bolt off under the fabric softener, pull the agitator off, and verify the spindle does not agitate, if so, you have a bad transmission or a broken coupler.

With the agitator off, the shaft turns clockwise. I can easily stop it with my fingers.

I have removed the motor to inspect the coupler. It appears to be in good condition.

Have noticed that there is what appears to be a clutch assembly on top of the gearbox. This assembly turns when the timer is set to the "spin" mode. So I assume that the gearbox is ok. Am guessing that perhaps some clutch parts are worn. Need to determine what parts to order.

Have removed the gearbox. Noticed that the brake driver cam is broken. Will order a clutch assembly kit. p/n AP3094537
