Intially temp had to be set at 380 or above to come on, now it dosent work at all, I was told it could be a bad thermostat, does anyone have an answer?

Will broil work on the unit? If so you could have a bad control board. If you test across the wires going to the bake element. You should have 240 volts when in bake mode. If you have 240 volts, then check the element. As far as the temp goes, you need to test the temp probe. It should ohm out around 11,000 ohms or less at room temperature. Let us know what you find.
