I have a maytag plus side by side that leaks from the freezer. It seems to be filling up in the back lower part of the freezer where there is like a drip pan, and then it leaks out onto the bottom of the freezer and freezes and then it leaks onto the floor. Several week ago we defrosted the freezer , the icemaker was completely frozen up and there was frozen ice all inside the door. That fixed the icemaker but now the freezer leaks worse than ever. Also we turned off the water to the icemaker thinking maybe there was a leak in the lines but it still leaked. There is also a little bit of condensation in the refrigerator . The fridge is set at 5 and the freezer at 4. Hope you can help. Thanks

I am having the same problem. I just defrosted my freezer. I also pulled the fridge out to check the drip pan, it should have been full after defrosting, there was nothing in it. I then turned a fairly long screw up the drain hose and pulled out a clog of some sort that seemed to be blocking the drainage. I have yet to see how things work now but hopefully this will take care of the problem.

The defrost drain tube is either frozen or stopped up. It should be behind the rear panel under the evaporator. Nat
