Although it does not list your unit, yours should be a close match. 8178643 Whirlpool ML-6 Maytag Bravos Washer (with 6th Sense Technology) Service Manual - ApplianceDigest.com Looking at the operators manual at the Maytag site it looks like the Clean light just comes on after 45 wash cycles and does not really monitor anything in the unit. From what I can see running the recommended clean cycle should turn it off.
