Dryer won't start, the control panel lights up on all cycle types, when the start button is pushed there is a click behind the left side of the control panel and nothing more. The door switch turns the light off and on and the drum turns by hand and feels like the belt is intact.

You seem to be missing 3 digits at the start of your model number.
These tell us who actually made the unit and are required to find any info on the unit. |

Sounds like the thermal fuse may be blown. It is mounted close to or on the blower I think I could not find a parts breakdown for this unit. There should be a thermistor and the fuse side by side. I think the thermal fuse is the bigger of the two. The thermistor should be about 12,000 ohms at 70 degrees F. It's resistance drops as temperature rises. Thermal Fuse Test 1. Disconnect dryer from power. 2. Access the thermal fuse by removing the toe panel. The thermal fuse is wired in series with the dryer drive motor. If the thermal fuse is open, replace it.
Unplug the unit and one wire going to the fuse. Then measure the fuse with a meter, should be 0 ohms. OR Jiggery Pokery method Unplug the machine, short the two wires from the thermal fuse together. Tape them so that they cannot short to anything else. Plug the unit in and give it a try.
If it is blown replace it ASAP as it is a critical safety device.
Check and clean your vent system as this is the most common cause of this blowing. |
