No weather or power problems. I can program the keypad. Key pad and timers do what there supposed to. The problem is nothing kicks on to cook the food. There is no loud noise when I hit the start button. the time counts down and beeps at the end, but nothing happens as far as cooking. there is an inital clicking sound immediately after I push the start button. The turn table does not turn either.

Thank you,

Ray

You may want to start the troubleshooting from the secondary interlock switch (the upper door switch). The easiest way to access the door switches is to remove the microwave outer case.

- The OEM switch Part number: AP2024331
Part number: AP2024331

- The substitute switch Part number: AP3186054
Part number: AP3186054

Are you suggesting that I should replace the secondary interlock switch because the information I have supplied says that switch is most likely the problem or is there a way I can test this switch?

This is very common issue but if you have an ohmmeter it is definitely better to check it first.

When I removed the case from the microwave, I manually pushed the what I believed to be the interlock switch. It did spark. Should I test it with the meter while I push the switch? When I put the meter to the connectors on the switch, with wires still attached I get a reading of -170ohms.
