I have just replaced the motor on my amana dryer, after plugging it back in closing the door and starting the dryer it started working great, or so I thought, the drum still does not turn, OK streched belt no problem I will replace that, however after I closed the door it continued to hum and after I removed the door panel I noticed that the heating element was still glowing as if it were running, what is causing this issue??

On your belt make sure you have it "treaded" correctly really not likely to have stretched that much.
And by looking at your breakdown I'd have to say that something is crosswired for the element to stay on like you stated
Check your connections.

Thanks Nat, I had just plugged in the connector from the old to the new, it has me baffled, is it possible that the motor that was sent is wired wrong? you would think that with a plug in connector it would be difficult to cross wire? thoughts?

It's possible, although not likely, that the motor is wired wrong. Did you happen to unplug anything else. I haven't been able to locate a wiring diagram on line to see if i can hp trace the problem. If you look in your control panel your tech sheet is placed there. Look at the wiring on the sheet from the element and trace the wires, note the colors listed and trace them on the dryer with an ohm meter seems like one of your thermostats is not functioning to allow the heater to cool down.
