dryer is not srarting.I checked the door switch for continuity its good.checked the start button its good.checked the thermal switch its showing open.can i put a jump between the two wires to the fuse tosee if that is the only ploblem?? thank you!!

I cannot find any info using the given model number.
If it is a thermal fuse that is attached to the blower unit then yes you can jump it. Unplug the unit. Remove both wires from the fuse, short them together and tape them up so they will not short to the frame. Plug the unit in and give it a try.
If blown, replace the fuse ASAP as it is a critical safety device re: prevents lint fires which can turn into house fires.
Also clean/check your vent system and the blower as these are the most common causes of it blowing.
If it is a thermal fuse mounted on or near the heating element then there are other things that should be checked. |
