My Electrolux dryer (model Eied55hiw0) only works on the air dry cycle. I was going to attempt to change out the thermal fuse to see if that fixed the issue. After disassembling the dryer, I realize the thermal fuse that is currently in the dryer does not look like the ones that say they are compatible. I don’t want to install the wrong type/part if it will hurt the dryer.
The one that is currently in the dryer resembles part # AP6009129
The one that is compatible is part # 134711401.

Do I have to get one that looks like the one I took out or the one that matches compatibility? And if I get the one that is compatible, does that mean I just install it flush to the tube? Thanks
