checked high limt,got 240 of both poles,check thermostat relay 120 off each pole to ground but no 240 to each pole. my guess the thermo is blown

You will never see 240 volts when referenced to Neutral/ground. Also do not know what a "thermostat relay" is.
If the unit is on and you measure 240 volts across the thermostat then it is toast. If the contacts were closed you should read 0 volts.
Not sure how you are measuring. You would be better off unplugging the unit and the wire to one side of the thermostat. Then measure across it for resistance, should be 0 ohms. |
