Hi,
My Maytag is not heating. When it starts everything will be fine and it will start heating in the tumbler but at about 3 to 5 minutes in it starts making this shooshing rattling noise and it doesn't produce heat. I took the front off and I could see the burner ignite the gas and then when the shooshing noise starts I can see the igniter glow but no flame. I checked the gas solenoid valve with a multi-meter and it appears to be fine. Any suggestions?

You have 2 gas coils, containing 3 circuits, all must be operating for the valve to stay open. They fail in odd ways, usually making a buzz as one of the coils drops out when it's hot. They may test normal at room temp and fail at higher temps. Did you test resistance across all 3 coil windings? Or just for voltage at the coils?
