I have a Whirlpool Super Capacity Plus washer. It leaks. Until recently, it leaked during use. Now it may be leaking all the time. I haven't found the model number. I have had it upside down and the parts are not very accessible, if that helps. I don't see any belts.
I'm wondering if this is likely an easy fix or if I should just bag it.
Thanks.

Most likely the problem is a bad pump. In order to provide more accurate advise we need the complete model number of the washer. You can find it under the lid.

OK. I found it. It is a LSR8244EQ1.
I think I was wrong about the leak. It seems to leak only when it is being used.
If it is the pump, is that a bad job? Or expensive?

ricall1, The first thing I would do is remove the washer cabinet and visually inspect the parts inside to pinpoint the leak. Post your findings. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool washer Model LSQ9600LW0Gene.

billmac77, I would recommend to do the same thing as I recommended to ricall1 first. Post your findings and we'll go further. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool washer Model LSR8244EQ1Gene.
