my oven doesn't light, oven goes thru its count down and clicks about 5 times, then i half to try again. my son said he see a wire in the back that look like the cover is ripped and some copper wire are broken. What is this wire my son talking about.

You said you could hear 5 clicks, did you watch the igniter to see if it sparked and lit the burner ? Is the gas on to the machine ? Is the burner tube itself, clean and are the burner ports clogged ? Does the broil burner operate proper ? Do the top burners work ? We'll have a better idea of which way to go, once we get your response. Thanks, :) :) :)

The top burner does light. The gas is on. Broiler does work. the igniter lights some times after about 15 minutes trying and some times it doesn't.
the burner tube is clean and it is not clogged.

Rodebob, OK, Something you may want to try, On the burner tube, the ignition venturi holes(the ones that go across the bottom of the tube) if you're sure they are all clean and not clogged, you may want to increase the openings by 1 drill size. Check the wire to the igniter for loose connections and make sure you've got a good ground to the unit. If everything is proper, or you continue to have a problem, Replace the Spark Module control board. Part number: AP3672576
