The dryer won't automatically shut off when the clothes are dry. I changed the timer but the problem remains. Is there a sensor or something that needs to be changed?

Check for 115 volts to the timer motor, if none, you probably have a blown heater. Take dryer apart to confirm. If you have 115 volts in the timed cycle, this confirms a bad heater.
