Four yr old GE side by side refrig /freezer. Lately freezer no colder than 18 degrees. Refrig seems OK. Any ideas.

Check if there is a frost on the rear panel in the freezer.
Are the fan inside the freezer and on the back of the refrigerator working?

It's not frosted up. Fan not working. Compressor very hot.

I'm assuming the fan which is not working is the condenser fan (next to the compressor). If that's right, put an outside fan right away to coll the compressor and order the condenser fan motor and the main control board. They have to replaced together. It is a good idea to clean the condenser at the same time. - The condenser fan motor Part number: AP4265957
