Locate the water inlet valve with the two solenoids on the back of the refrigerator. Swap the wires between the solenoids. Push the water release lever for the water dispenser and check if the ice maker got water.

If it did, replace the ice maker.

If it did not, replace the water valve and make sure the water feeding tube into the ice maker is not clogged or frozen.

Gene, I have a Frigidaire FRS26HF6BW1 with a similar problem. Although when I removed the hose from the back of the fridge where it goes into the ice maker, it happened to turn on and water came shooting out. So I know water is getting to that point, but not running down the chute into the maker. I thought I would check first whats inside the piece that the line connects to (goes between the outside of fridge and inside / chute) before I went sticking things in there to check for a clog. I did have ice built up in the chute when I started investigating this problem. Any suggestions?

If the water feeding tube into the ice maker was frozen, that means the water inlet valve does not close all the way. The solution is to replace the water inlet valve.

You are welcome. There is nothing very special. Do not forget to turn off the water to the refrigerator and remove the power.

You're alredy replaced the Water Valver - Still Not Working.
Shut your water off - disconnect the water line to the from the back of the refrigerator at the top where it goes into the icemaker. I used zip tie or something flexable to see if it would go all the way through to the
tube inside the refrig. If you have obstruction - use your hair dryer
to thaw the ice from inside the refrigerator tube. When the flexable items goes all the way through. Hook back the water line to the icemaker. You will have ice soon.

Shouldn't the first step be to try the hair dryer, and second be replace the water valve?

I assume the water valve is located towards the bottom on the back of the fridge? I haven't even looked yet.

Yes, check for the possibility of a frozen ice tube first, if frozen, thaw out the tube with a hair dryer. If the icemaker still doesn't work, you may need a "Walter Inlet Valve" located at the bottom right-back of your Fridge. Easy to Do, just follow the color codes.
