I can't figure out how to take the front off of my MAYTAG PYG2300AWW Gas Dryer. I need to replace the igniter and belt and I don't see how to get access. I can get he top to swing up but it appears that there are screws (on the inside) that hold the front to the sides. There doesn't appear to be enough room to get a screwdriver in there to back them out. Help!

Did you ever get the front panel removed? If not, I figured it out around an hour ago. After prying up the top panel you simply remove the two upper screws holding the front panel to the side panels(one on each side) which allows the front panel to swing down. There's a hinge on the bottom of the front panel. The coils, igniter, etc. are right there when the panel is removed. Hope that helps. Now I'm trying to figure out how to gain access to the rear of the unit as the sides and rear are one piece.
