While doing laundry last night, I found the washer off with the knob between rinse and spin, pulled out so it should have been on. I tried to start it again from there, but it did nothing. I unplugged it & tried it again, still nothing. Checked all the wiring and took all the clothes out. I managed to get it to fill with water again on the rinse cycle, but when it should have started spinning, it stopped, hummed for a minute, and died again. I cannot get it do anything but fill with water. Any suggestions?? Also, is there a way to get it to drain the water sitting in the basin? I emptied with a cup and a bucket earlier, but I really don't want to do that again if I don't have to. Thanks!

Remove the cabinet, remove the pump and see if the washer will work. You have to bypass the lid switch to have it work on the spin cycle.

Post your findings, please.

If you have a drain on the floor, you can lower the hose down into it.
