Probably just a fluke. If it just burned out the way they usually do, and is not shattered, you may be able to get another one under warranty. Whirlpool guarantees parts for 90 days.

well the igniter shatter after I installed , it started to glow and it got bright glow and it just shattered into three pieces icluding the ceramic piece . The only thing I did is checked the thermal fuse it was bad so I replaced and I also checked the thermostat which was fine and I put the wires the way they were , the only thing I can think of was maybe I touched the igniter by accident or the wires on the t-stat where put wrong but its A/C I put the reds were the were and the blues too so I don't know what I did wrong or is there sth else wrong , also I checked the flame sensor and solenoid they are fine ?
