Lex, Most likely the problem is a bad ignition switch for this burner (#323 on the diagram). - The ignition (gas valve) switch Part number: AP3191247

There are four of such switches. They are located on top of the gas burner valve (under the knob). It turns the ignition on when you turn the knob on. Check the diagrams.

Lex,
Unfortunately I did not work with such ranges or it was long time ago. Any way you have to remove all knobs and the control panel in order to reach this switch. click on the link from the previous reply and use the diagrams. No manuals for such old model available as well.

Hi All, Our XL44 (JGBP24GRN6AD) stopped automatically lighting the 2 left burners about a year ago. A month or so later, the other side stopped. We have gas (light it with matches) and would like to get the starter working again. No clicking sounds, no ignition happening.
Any ideas? Is it a relatively simple fix? Thank you so much for your help! Just getting worried when the mother in law comes over and cant get the burner to light and leaves the gas on...not pretty.

Very likely the problem is a bad spark module, but the model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it please.
Gene.
