Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 2/18/2008(UTC) Posts: 1		My dishwasher has a water inlet on the outside of the tub, a hose runs from the water valve to this inlet and thru the side of the tub into the dishwasher. The inlet is v-shaped with the hose attaching on the top, it is open on both sides and looks to be molded as part of the tub, when I turn my dishwasher on ~ the water leaks out of one side of this inlet, I can also see 2 plastic pieces inside both of this openings. Could the valve be bad ????

Try to play with the water shut off valve under the sink to lower the pressure. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dishwasher Model DU980QPDB5 Gene.
