when we pushed the start button it made a noise. then stopped working completely, i checked the contact knob on the dryer and it is clicking okay. power is fine to the dryer. this is a stacked washer dryer unit

It sounded electrical when i pushed the start buttom. a little like a contact problem

I will need tocheck in the am it is too dark to work in the area.t just did not sound like a belt
|

Remove panel #27 in the driagram by removing the three (#47) screws. You will be able to look behind the panel and see the belt around the drum, unless it's broken, then it maybe on the bottom.

the belt checked out fine. I am wondering if is the motor
