refrigerator portion will not get cold ?
Freezer is working fine

Remove the back panel inside the freezer compartment and see if there is a heavy frost build-up on the evaporator coil.[COLOR="Red"] Do not remove frost by physical scraping.[/COLOR] If there is a lot of frost, you have a defrost problem. Report your findings, and we'll help you through the diagnosis and repair.

Do you own a meter? Can you do some simple resistance and continuity tests? When it thaws, tell us about the condition of the defrost thermostat (the round device about the diameter of a nickel or quarter, clipped to the evaporator coil: Is it swollen?
