I have a Whirlpool Dryer model LER7646AQO that runs but is not heating. My guess is that it has something to do with a fuse or heating element. Looking for suggestions on what to check first

Hi Juan
You will need a meter, or even better, a friend with a meter who will do this for you.
1. First check that you have 120 volts coming to each side of the connection block.
2. Unplug the dryer and test the thermal fuse and thermostats for continuity.
3. If this checks out, remove the heater coil and make certain it is not grounded or broken. Test its resistance, should be between 12 and 20 ohms.
Good luck, let us know what you find out.
