I've been reading what I can, but I don't think my issue is quite the same as the others so I'm asking for a diagnosis.

Here's what I can tell you:

  • The washer will not spin.
  • It will agitate.
  • It will fill & drain.
  • The pump is clean and clear as are the hoses to the pump and exiting the pump.
  • The motor will drive the gearcase and the top spindle of the gearcase will turn.
  • Last but not least, I caused the issue. (I washed a down pillow that exploded in the washer) Some feathers are still showing up but it's very minor so I don't believe them to be causing an ongoing issue.
This all said, does anyone know what the issue might be? I can't really afford a repairman right now so I'm looking to do it myself. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I just wanted to post back that I got it fixed in case someone else makes the same mistake. It turns out that there was still quite a bit of down in between the drum and the tub so I took it all apart, disconnected the hose on the bottom of the basin and cleared it with a garden hose. Hopefully this information helps someone else in the future.

Thanks for the update, and obviously your name understates you. Nice going on getting it fixed.

What you did is what we would have suggested. No Really. Yes We would have. No I am not making that up.

Thanks again.
