Whirlpool Duet Steam Washer wfw 9600tw00; Shows error code; f99 most of the time. If attempting a clean washer cycle then suds and 1nt. It will not run a diagnostic test. All harnesses appear to be connected. CCU board needs replaced??? I am having issues with this for the simple fact, this washer is 4 years old and on average runs only 3 to 4 loads a week. This is 1/4 of the average household. Any suggestions??

Here are your parts Replacement parts for Whirlpool WFW9600TW00 AUTOMATIC WASHER | AppliancePartsPros.comSounds like you have the tech sheet but just in case you do not see the attachment. Have you tried unplugging the unit for a couple minutes to see if it will reset? Try cleaning the connectors between the user interface (Keypad) and the control board. Connector Cleaning / Checking Unplug the unit Open it up Remove the ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board at the control board. Clean the edge connector. If it is the type where there is not a connector just the insulation is removed, it can be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Do not use an ink eraser as it is too abrasive. Check the tracks in the ribbon cable for hairline cracks. A magnifying glass helps here. Would not hurt to clean the connector on the board. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Be gentle and do not reconnect till all the solvent evaporates. Reconnect everything and give it a try. Check the cables between the 2 parts. Look for bad connections (crimps) and loose/backed out pins. Check for bad solder connections at the connectors on the boards. A cold solder joint is often a duller gray or has pin holes. Look at the solder side of a connection and gently wiggle the connector to see if any of the pins move in the solder. A magnifying glass can help here. |
