i have a ge refrigerator that is having issues. It is a french door, freezer on the bottom and refrigerator on top. the issue is that the freezer is running -14 to -20 below and there refrig is running37 to 42. We had a power surg and so we had to replace a fan and sensor but this is still going on. We are not ordering a mother board for it. Do you think that could be the issue or could it be the thermistor in the freezer. I should also say that went we went to turn off the freezer and leave the refrigerator on and power on. both the freezer and refrigerator when off and power stayed on. any ideas.

Seems like it went into defrost for a period. I would suspect a stuck relay on the motherboard AP4436216 You can try unplugging it for a period to see if it will clear.
