My fridge suddenly stopped cooling. I can feel the fan blowing some cold air into the refrigerator. The freezer was all thawed out overnight. There is a little sound (that seems like the fan) continuously on. There is a little control panel in the refrigerator and not much else by way of switches or buttons.
The temperature when I opened it this morning on both sides (freezer and refrigerator) was 47F and I tried to press the off, then re-turn it on. It doesnt feel like anything but the fan coming on.
I also set it to quickcool but the temperature has only gone up. Its not 61F on both sides.
Is there something I can do to further troubleshoot? I am wondering if there is a starter problem or is the compressor gone? Has anyone encountered a similar problem with their refrigerator (same make or model)
The model number again is Whirlpool GC5YHEXNB01.
I appreciate the advice.
Thanks Prashant
